19th Annual Beaches Jazz Festival Is Coming!!

Get ready, Toronto! The festive Beaches Jazz Festival is about to hit the city starting July 20 up to the 29th, 2007. This annual gathering of musician and music lovers (dancers and food lovers, as well) gets better and better everytime.

Toronto Beaches Jazz FestivalThe festivity starts at the historic Distillery District dubbed the PartiGras on July 20-22, 2007. Deanna Bogert would be there to close the party on the last day of partying at the Distillery District.

Part 2 of the festival is a TD Canada Trust sponsored Workshop and Lecture series to be held at the Mennonite New Life Centre of Toronto. The lineup of workshop series to be conducted by different lecturers are Ladies Night On The Dance Floor, Jazz On Radio and a lot more. From July 26 - 28, StreetFest, the original Toronto Jazz festival event will be celebrated. Visitors from all over Canada and the world have constantly visited this big event along the beaches area to listen and dance to the live music of jazz, R&B and soul - which were the original music celebrated by this event. But thru the years other kinds of music like Flamenco, latin, hip, folk, samba and so many others are being played in the festival. The stretch of Queen st. East from Coxwell to Victoria Park would be close to traffic to make way for this annual event.

MainStage At The Kew Gardens happens from the 28-29 of July. Guest performers are featured live on stage at the Kew Gardens from 11 am to 6 pm playing mostly jazz and latin music. Visit their site for the schedule of performances.

So, Toronto - get ready to party! Entrance to all the festivities is free and children of all ages (from 1 to 100) are most welcome.
